Happy New Year 2024

As we step into a new year, it’s natural to ponder whether it symbolizes a fresh beginning or merely an extension of the previous year. However, I firmly believe that our attitudes and intentions shape our experiences. By the year’s end, regardless of the outcome, we can take pride in knowing we gave it our best effort.

Historically, I haven’t been a staunch advocate for New Year’s resolutions. Yet, the desire to outdo my previous year’s achievements always prevails. This year, I’m channelling my energies into nurturing this website, my digital legacy, which will outlive me and continue to resonate with my children, family and friends.

A recent article in Wired, titled “The Internet Isn’t Dead. It’s Saturday Night Live,” struck a chord with me. It portrayed the internet as a space that’s lost its charm to commercialization. I highly recommend reading it for an insightful perspective.

It seems I’m not alone in feeling disillusioned with the current state of the internet. Social media, in particular, has lost its appeal for many. As we navigate through 2024, I’m consciously stepping back from social media to focus on enriching this platform with my thoughts and creative expressions.

This website will be a hub for everything I cherish about social media but without the clutter and noise. Here, friends and family can stay updated on my life. Whether it’s sharing my latest DJ mixes or reflecting on personal experiences like coping with the loss of my mother, this space will be my canvas for authentic expression.
